Welcome to THE
TROCHU ARBORETUM
Come for an hour… Stay for the day!
We are open daily from dawn to dusk
Nestled in the heart of Alberta, the Trochu Arboretum is a living sanctuary where nature thrives, and the community comes together to celebrate the beauty of trees, plants, and wildlife. Our Arboretum is a place of learning, relaxation, and discovery—a space where visitors of all ages can connect with nature through winding pathways, vibrant gardens, and a diverse collection of trees and beautiful gardens of flowers in bloom from May until October. During the month of December, vibrant lights and community come together during the Forest of Lights celebration.

Courses & Events
We host events throughout the year, including fundraising luncheons, markets, and a wide variety of classes.

Facility Rentals
Rent the grounds, or our Visitor Interpreter Centre for weddings, reunions meetings and more.

Donate
The Arboretum is a not-for-profit charity, and we accept cash and in-kind donations, as well as volunteers!

Become a Member
Members get unlimited access to the Arb grounds, and are the first to know about upcoming classes and events.
Event Participants & Volunteers Needed!
The Arboretum Board is hard at work planning an exciting 2025. In order to organize all of our amazing events, classes, and projects we will need some help – from you, our community! We have a number of special committees to work through specific parts of the planning process and these will need members.

Garden Volunteers Needed from Apr. – Oct.
From Apr. 1 to Oct. 31, learn alongside the Head Gardener while planting and weeding in our 8-acre garden.

Trochu Flower, Baking & Photography Show
August. Submit your flowers, garden veggies, baked goods and photographs, volunteer, visit and stay for dinner.

Arboretum Christmas Market and Dinner
November. Sign up to be a vendor, volunteer with planning and set up and shop at the Annual Market and dinner.

Forest of Lights on the whole month of December
December. Sponsor a light display, help with set-up and tear down or volunteer to host an evening in December.
