About the Trochu Flower, Baking & Photography Show
Now in its 53rd year, the Trochu Flower, Baking & Photography Show is a beloved community tradition that brings together the creative spirit, rural pride, and heartfelt hospitality of Trochu and the surrounding area. Hosted at the Trochu Community Centre, this annual showcase celebrates the beauty of homegrown flowers, the joy of home baking, and the art of capturing life through a lens.
Open to all ages and skill levels, the event features a wide variety of adult and junior categories—from dahlias and vegetables to gluten-free baking and black-and-white photography. Whether you’re a first-time entrant or a seasoned competitor, the show offers a welcoming space to share your talents and connect with fellow community members.
With tea and refreshments in the afternoon, a delicious roast beef supper prepared by Red Bird Diner, and awards presented in the evening, the show is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and country charm.
