DESCRIPTION:Volunteers Needed — Alberta Highway Cleanup Day\nThe annual Alberta Highway Cleanup is coming up\, and we’re looking for volunteers to help keep our community beautiful! \nDate: Saturday\, May 2\, 2026Alternate (weather backup): Saturday\, May 9\, 2026Time: 10:00 AMMeeting Location: A&W in Three Hills\nVolunteers: please email info@trochuarb.ca to sign up! \nWe will be cleaning our usual section along Highway 583\, from Junction 21 to Highway 836 (east of Three Hills). This is a great opportunity to get outdoors\, connect with neighbours\, and make a visible difference in our local area. \nHow You Can Help\nWe’re looking for individuals\, families\, and small groups to assist with different sections along the route. Children are welcome to participate with supervision. \nIf you’re available\, please let us know: \n\nIf you can volunteer\nIf you have a preferred section (see map below)\nHow many people will be joining you\, and their names (and age if children).\n\nWhy Participate?\n\nHelp keep our highways clean and safe\nSupport community pride\nEnjoy some fresh air and teamwork\nA great opportunity for families and youth to get involved\n\nSafety Requirements\nSafety is a priority for all participants: \n\nVolunteers must be at least 9 years of age\nSupervision ratios:\n\n1 adult for every 2 children under 14\n1 adult for every 5 youth ages 14–18\n\n\nAll participants must complete safety training\nOnly outer ditches are cleaned on divided highways\nMedians are not cleaned on divided highways\nBags\, gloves and vests are provided.\n\nTraining materials and forms are provided through Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors prior to the cleanup. \nIf you have questions or are able to volunteer\, please email info@trochuarb.ca.
