On April 5th, more than 20 generous community members came together at the Trochu Arboretum to help us take down the Christmas lights — and what a day it was!
With smiles on our faces, ladders in hand, and a light-hearted spirit in the air, we worked side by side to carefully remove and pack away the twinkling lights that had brought so much joy over the winter season. Thanks to the incredible teamwork and dedication of our volunteers, the entire job was completed in under four hours — and yes, that includes a well-earned lunch break filled with laughter and connection!
It was truly heartwarming to see neighbors, families, and friends pitching in, each person adding a spark of energy and care to the task. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout or a more uplifting atmosphere.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help! Your time, effort, and community spirit are what keep the Arboretum shining year-round. We’re already looking forward to lighting things up again next season — and knowing this group, we’ll be ready in record time once again.
